Nahatlatch River DAY TRIPS – Boston Bar BC

Places to go, things to see and do. Go for a walk or hike, have lunch on the beach or just sit and enjoy the view. Sit back and put your feet up. This could take a while. Just a few places to see in and about our valley, some you have heard of and others not. Places like Kwoiek Creek, Hanging Valley, Forestry Lookout and Tachewana Creek. Most of these are day trips but not all…

Hanging Valley

If you are into Alpine this is the place to go. The flowers start about the beginning of June and the meadows turn golden about the end of August. Soon after that the snow starts to fly. The road is windy, narrow, has water bars and all up hill, but the drive is well worth it.

Kwoiek Creek

Its quite the drive but you get to see some great views along with awesome fishing. Most of the trip follows the Fraser River, with views of the CPRail and CNRail and Hwy #1. The Lake is a glacier colour, so very different from the Nahatlatch but the fishing is fine.

Kwoiek Creek

Kwoiek Creek

Nahatlatch

The valley is spectacular, for the next 30kms you will see the white water which rafters love, the serene lakes for boating, views of unbelievable proportions and a water fall that you can drive right up to. It is just waiting for you to see it.

Forestry Lookout

This is a old Fire Lookout so from this spot you can see for miles. You get to see both the Nahatlatch River and the Fraser River with the mountains and skyline framing the picture. Great place for quads and bikes with the road being a little rough. If you are up for a hike, this is the place.
